James served in the United States Marine Corps and is a retired ironworker. He lives and works in Woodville, OH.
Artist’s Statement: “I intend that my sculptures should contain enough information that the viewer is not confused or mystified by the artist’s intent.
I wish to be considered a good journeyman ironworker who demonstrates a high degree of craftsmanship while using the best materials to create enduring sculptures that speak to the highest aspirations of the human spirit.
Jim says his greatest accomplishment is the magnificent 9/11 memorial to first responders in Gibsonburg, OH, site of his studio. Pentagon shaped and plaque -filled walls surround an exact scaled 1-100 replica of the Freedom Tower with an actual 36 foot long, 7,000-pound piece of the solid steel antenna from the demolished South Tower. Dedication Sept 11, 2016.”
While James is not engaged in social media, his work has been exhibited throughout the United States.
